Job Description:

CSRA supports the United States Coast Guard (USCG) TISCOM - TESS program which provides critical services and support to meet the demands of the USCG mission. TISCOM – TESS responsibilities include providing reliable enterprise IT services and responsive technical support for Coast Guard men and women around the globe as it develops, deploys, and supports the information technology (IT) infrastructure for the USCG networks for land, aviation, and sea based assets. Requirements include O&M of existing systems to engineering/deployment of new capabilities.

CSRA’s TISCOM – TESS program is an environment that mixes physical and virtual technologies, utilizing a collaboration of many different vendors. TISCOM – TESS sets precedence for IT policies and procedures for the entire enterprise, supporting over 65,000 users in a Windows Active Directory architecture. Currently, we are seeking an Image Systems Administrator (Server & Desktop) in Alexandria, VA. The selected candidate must hold a government security clearance, per contract requirements (Clearance Level: Secret ).

Knowledge/Skills/Responsibilities:

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation.

  • Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.

  • Performs and oversees analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

  • Performs functional analyses, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

  • Conducts analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

  • Perform production and test environment support to ensure proper configurations, updates, and testing of end-user device and server images in Unclassified, SBU, Secret, and Test.

  • Deploy, maintain, and update a secure standard image for all environments / domains. This includes the master images and new images under development for deployment.

  • Master and new Images for client systems

  • Master and new Images for servers

  • Master and new secure images for non-standard systems

  • Provide support for the standard image (both server and desktop)

  • Update all images quarterly as a deliverable.

  • Engineer images for deployment via DVD, via Distribution points, and via Microsoft Infrastructure technologies. Ensure engineering enable patching capabilities as per industry standards and DHS / DOD security requirements.

  • Ensure all engineering activities include proper documentation for methodology for creation, deployment, patching, Tiers I / II / III / IV Support of HW and SW, and End-User usage.

  • Engineers images for Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2008R2, and Server 2012R2 Operating Systems.

To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications:

  • BA or equivalent + 3-5 years related experience, or MA + 1-3 year related experience

  • Active SECRET

  • 3+ years’ of experience in use of SCCM OSD for STIG creation, updating, and image deployments

  • 3+ years’ years of experience in image creation, updating, and deployment

  • 3+ years’ of experience using standard image support tools (examples: WDS, Flexera, Adaptiva, DameWare)

  • 3+ years’ of experience using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) which was formerly Business Desktop Deployment

  • 3+ years’ of experience using Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK), formerly Windows Automated Installation Kit (Windows AIK or WAIK)

It would be great if you also had:

  • Security+ Experience using enterprise level ticket routing system (Remedy preferred)

  • Good Microsoft Office skills

Other qualifications include:

  • Detail-oriented and able to organize information

  • Strong customer service and oral/written communication skills required.

Ability to work independently and produce results, given general priorities, required.
