Duties and Responsibilities -

The candidate will perform the following duties, included but not limited to:

· Implement physical security procedures to ensure the protection and safeguarding of mission critical resources and information.

· Establish and ensure effective communication among internal and external customers

· Operate access control and facility monitoring systems (Ccure and CCTV)

· Provide 24x7 coverage for alarm response and emergencies

· Enforce Access and Visitor Control procedures to include processing facility badges

· Conduct Security Briefings

· Manage security incident reporting

· Perform document control and annual inventory

· Provide assistance with Fire and Emergency Response procedures

· Provide advice and guidance on DoD Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility security policies in support of maintain compliance and any new construction of secure spaces

Team Support Requirements -

Assist with on-call 24-hour security support to the program

Assist with performing emergency/non-emergency response

Assist with conducting security prescreens

Assist with answering security phone line and helping customers

Assist and participate in multiple government audits

Complete Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) training

Performance Requirements -

Knowledge of security policies, procedures, directives, etc.

Demonstrate excellent customer service and client- interface skills

Assist as first responder for 24x7 alarm coverage

Enforce physical and technical security standards and compliance for multiple SCIFs (secure spaces)

Oversee operations and maintenance for alarm keypads, locks, shredders, safes, proprietary bins, etc.

Perform visitor and access control procedures (badges, visit certs, tour coordination)

Perform security incident reporting and investigation

Oversee account for alarm systems

Conduct physical security training for access control specialists

Possess excellent writing and communication skills

Develop and enforce emergency preparedness procedures

Develop and enforce security policies and procedures

Communicate and inform management on all physical security matters

Conduct Active Shooter Training

Assist with performing document control and annual inventory

Handle multiple demands from superiors, subordinates, customers, and client representatives

Develop innovative and creative solutions to enhance physical security procedures

Make effective use of time and internal and external resources

Work effectively in a team environment

Minimal travel within 50-mile radius

Technical Requirements -

MS Office experience (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Lotus Notes databases

SIMS software


Intrusion Detection Systems/eDatamanager (Alarm testing and keypad programming)

C-cure access control software and

CCTV (camera and TV monitors) programming and monitoring

Secure lock programming and maintenance (safe combos, cypher, X9/10, triology, detex, etc.)

Shredder operation and maintenance

Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken
