Job Description:


Plan, deploy, operate, and maintain enterprise security tools (e.g. Splunk, Nessus, nCircle, AppScan, etc.). Optimize and enhance security tool deployment and continuous monitoring capabilities. Operation and maintenance of existing security tool deployments (i.e., account management, patch management, configuration management, and documentation maintenance). Supporting incident response activities through tool and log analysis, as required. Supporting system audit requirements by capturing system logs and other information sources, defining auditable events, normalizing data, and identifying potential incidents. Developing and presenting queries, reports, and dashboards. Working with technical and business leads to identify potential auditable information and assisting with the development of new audit capabilities. On-boarding of new data sources into enterprise security tools as identified.


Five years of experience in Information Technology. Three years of experience in Information Security. Knowledge of information security tools including Security Information and Event Management tools (SIEMs). Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals, MQ, SFTP, TLS/SSL. Experience with SQL and operational understanding of database schemas and structure. Experience with Oracle, Linux, and/or Microsoft Server OS. Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Perl or shell scripting. Strong communication, written, and verbal skills with the ability and comfort level to conduct presentations for potential and existing customer audiences. Audiences consist of up to 30 people of varying skill level and expertise.


Experience with SOAP, REST API, XML, HTML, web-based technologies, and scripting languages. Experience in requirements analysis, engineering, and testing in real world environments. An acknowledged industry cyber security certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CAP Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Information Security.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS or equivalent + 9 yrs related experience, or MS + 7 yrs related experience
