Job Description:

CSRA is seeking a junior to mid-level Project Management Analyst / Coordinator to join our team in support of the NIH National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). NHLBI provides global leadership for research, training, and education programs to promote the prevention and treatment of heart, lung, and blood diseases and enhance the health of all individuals so that they can live longer and more fulfilling lives. CSRA provides its clients at the NHLBI with project management and business process improvement support.

The selected candidate will directly support the mission of the NHLBI Project Management Office (PMO) by providing coordination and support to NHLBI projects; developing project management templates and guides; and providing consultative advice to project leads, as needed.

Position is for full time employment with CSRA and will be based at the NIH main campus in Bethesda. Depending on the project work and client needs, there may be an option for some telework.


  • Provide project coordination support to federal leadership/project managers and the CSRA team to ensure that projects are well organized and running smoothly, including coordinating information and deadlines across projects, managing document repositories, developing project artifacts, and being a trusted resource to the client and trusted member of the CSRA team.

  • Support working groups and meetings, including meeting minute capture, action item tracking, logistics, and materials preparation.

  • Develop and maintain project SharePoint sites.

  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Project schedules; generate dashboard views and reports; experience with Project Online is a plus.

  • Develop project management templates and guides (e.g., charter template, risk management guide, etc.); maintain and update the intranet repository that houses project management resources.

  • Monitor multiple shared Outlook mailboxes and collaborate with clients on responses.

  • Support weekly client and CSRA team meetings with meeting minute capture, action item tracking, coordination, and logistics.

  • Work with the CSRA project manager and team to develop monthly status reports for the client; coordinate with other CSRA entities to ensure status reporting requirements are met.

  • Work with the CSRA project manager and team to prepare for periodic internal project reviews and audits.

  • Collaborate with the CSRA team to develop new ideas to create additional value and efficiencies for the team and client.


  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or ability to obtain within 3-6 months).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and scheduling best practices.

  • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Proficient in other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Ability to obtain NIH suitability (to obtain an NIH badge).


  • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent written (including copy editing) and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent listening skills; including the ability to capture detailed information generated from fast-paced meetings.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize important, competing tasks and information.

  • Comfort in asking the team for advice and help as needed.

  • Comfort in interacting with and presenting to federal leadership.

  • Ability to ensure consistency of fact and style across efforts and materials.

  • Experience supporting a Project Management Office is strongly preferred.
