Essential Job Functions:

  • Follows detailed instructions to perform such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment, and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.

  • Works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician.

  • Responsibilities include replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks; replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks; replacing broken window panes; and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.

  • Constructs and installs targets according to scenario setup sheet, fits thermal units and hit sensors, and tests the operation to ensure they are functioning correctly.

  • Continuously monitors the performance of down range target devices, repairs or replenishes damaged targets as needed, and reestablishes failed communication from System Controller Station (SYSCON) to Meggitt lifters.

  • Responsible for the drawing, loading, unloading and performing maintenance or trouble shooting procedures on the (BES) Battle Effects Simulator.

  • Installs player unit electronic packages on military vehicles as required on the DMPRC.

  • Performs operator tasks on SYSCON/EXCON/AAR stations as required during mission support on DMPRC/DMPTR

  • Responsible for maintaining Player Unit Batteries such as monitoring a charging log, ensures the proper disposalof any unserviceable ones accordance with HAZMAT standards

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university or related military training or two years minimum work experience in a related discipline or a combination of education and experience. -

  • At least one year of familiarity with experience in computer systems / network or training device maintenance.

  • Two years’ experience with Microsoft office software operation and use.

  • Must possess good written composition and verbal communication skills, ability to express facts and rationale

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License

  • Must be able to travel as required

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
