Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Operate external control computer system (EXCON) work station.

  • Operate After Action Review (AAR) work station.

  • Install and configure targets and instrumentation hardware and devices.

  • Service day and low light cameras.

  • Operate man lift and skid steer.

  • Performs as technical work leader

  • Fiber and video troubleshooting and repair

  • Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems to include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes.

  • Typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits.

  • Exercise independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.

  • Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.

  • May provide technical guidance to lower level technicians.

  • Read electrical schematics and understand basic electronic symbols.

  • Trace, identify, diagnose and repair electronic equipment problems

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university and five years minimum work experience in a related discipline or five years related military training or a combination of education and experience.

  • Five years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems / networking and simulation platform maintenance.

  • Three years’ experience with Microsoft Office software operation and use.

  • Must possess good written composition and verbal communication skills, ability to express facts and rationale.

  • Must currently possess at a minimum an Interim security clearance and be able to obtain/maintain an active/valid US security clearance.

  • Preferred military background in combat arms

  • Strong electrical systems knowledge

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

  • Varies depending on site

  • Must be able to travel to various locations.
