Job Description:

Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of public or private sector organizations. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services. Supervises and coordinates the work activities throughout the life cycle of small and medium contracts or projects to ensure defined performance, schedules, cost objectives and customer/client needs and requirements anre met. May participate in business development activities. Works closely with manager in monitoring operational budget. Provides project supervision and management for major program activities. Manages and directs technical project/program personnel to ensure objectives are met with top quality and levels of performance. Manages large projects involving multifunctional tasking and substantial complexity. Plans and supervises major system life cycle support tasks/functions including requirements definition, acquisition, integration, test and evaluation, fielding/installation, and disposition.

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
