Join the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. CSRA is seeking a Systems Administrator to join the DCGS Operations Center (DPOC) program at Langley AFB, VA.
The Systems Administrator supports the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination (PED) Operations Center (DPOC). The Administrator support servers, workstations and databases physically located at both DPOC sites. Operating systems for these machines are a mix of Windows and Solaris. The servers are spread across three different classification levels and host various applications used by DPOC personnel such as network monitoring tools, ATM and router management applications and Network Information Services (NIS). There are also numerous remote sites which require access to data made available via the DPOC. At each of these locations there are dual-logging servers maintained on each classification level in order to support auditing of network access activities from the site for security purposes.
Ensures overall integration and upkeep of all wide area network and enterprise management services to include all servers, workstations, and access accounting functions inherent to network access on the DCGS architecture
Manages mission data distribution servers providing rapid file transfer across the WAN and to external customers
Manages enterprise IT services such as LDAP, NTP, DNS, and HBSS
Administers a host of unique systems and services specific to AF DCGS weapon system
Provides Network management of computer systems within the DPOC-East and West
Integrates new projects into the DPOC (management architecture) and the DPA
Manages User Account management, Group, and Home Directory maintenance for Unix and NT workstations and servers, user/group policies/rights for DPOC and DPA enterprise level
Analyzes and resolves problems associated with UNIX and NT workstation and server hardware, operating systems, and applications software
Installs, configures and maintains Unix/NT operating systems, to include operating system patches, service packs, and application software patches and maintenance of database software licenses
Tracks and maintains all system authentication and accreditation dates for DPOC systems
Maintains the security and integrity of databases (i.e. Oracle and others)
Installs, configure and maintain Solaris and Windows and other operating systems, to include network services, operating system patches, application software patches
Performs user account, group, and home directory maintenance for Unix and Windows workstations and servers, coordinating with DCGS Network Security (IA) as required
Analyzes, develops, tests, and modifies hardware and software solutions to meet the DPOC management and DPA systems analysis and/or systems integration requirements
Reviews and provides system engineering (ECP) input to documentation AF DCGS Configuration Control Board (CCB) within seven (7) days of receipt
Reviews integration and operational products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and user standards, and progress IAW established IT and government standards
Defines system objectives and prepares system design specifications to meet DPA and government requirements and to satisfy interface problems
Develops scripts to improve synchronization of data between DPOC East and DPOC West
Works directly with and supports 480 ISR WG Network Engineers and provides technical solutions and expertise for DCGS-wide system engineering efforts
Develops implementation and test plans for migrating CCB-approved software and hardware changes into operational DPOC environment
Supports DPOC Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to identify/resolve security related issues
Prepares computer systems and provides support for DPOC certification and accreditation
Provides input in support of the Monthly Status Report (MSR) detailing accomplishments and issues in performance of tasks. Required
2+ Years of network and system administration experience with Windows, Linux, UNIX or Solaris systems
Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI)
Certifications: Applicable Operating System certifications and CompTIA Security Preferred
BS or equivalent + 2 yrs related experience, or MS + 0 yrs experience
Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA A+, Sun Certified Systems Administrator (SCSA)
A working knowledge of AF DCGS and AF ISR operations is desired
