Job Description:

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.


  • Provide Assistance to Sr. LINUX Administrators performing the following functions: LINUX server deployment, optimization, application design / architecture, system upgrades and patching.

  • Assist Sr. System Administrators Troubleshoot and diagnose advanced LINUX server issues, including reliability issues, performance concerns, and software bugs.

  • Assist Sr. System Administrators in Performing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) on systems as necessary.


  • Experience with Linux Operating System. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 and 7, preferred.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • BS or equivalent + 2 yrs related experience, or MS + 0 yrs experience. Related experience may be substituted for education.


  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Experience as a Linux administrator

  • UNIX shell scripting experience.

  • A current DoD Secret Clearance.

  • DOD 8570 IA Level II Certification required (i.e. Security+ CE).
