Job Summary:

CSRA is seeking a candidate with prior military experience in the armor or mechanized infantry. The job requires: Individuals participate in the instruction, development, and support of training while working in close coordination with the Combat and Doctrine Developers to ensure the synchronization of program's mission (i.e., combat, doctrine, and education/training development). Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical and administrative areas.

  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.May refer to established precedents and policies.

  • Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources.

  • Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.Extensive knowledge of military doctrine, tactics and procedures, and individual, crew andcollective training development and management. Ability to evaluate current programs withemphasis on the ability of those programs to satisfy operational user training and OPTEMPOrequirements.

  • Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • BA or equivalent + 10 yrs related experience - Required.

  • Brigade Command or Senior Staff experience - Desired.

  • Knowledge of military doctrine and tactics.

  • Knowledge of the Military logistics process.

  • Knowledge of the deployment and employment of military combat, combat support, and orcombat service support systems.

  • Knowledge of acquisition products and other training support materials.

  • Knowledge of military command relationships and operating procedures at the Joint, unifiedand specified command level and operational force employment.

  • Knowledge of Training Aids, Devices, Simulation and Simulators (TADSS) and ofoperational testing.

  • Knowledge of the Joint planning process.

  • Knowledge of the development and production of live, virtual and constructive training
