Job Description:

CSRA is seeking a Test Engineer to provide custom application testing. He/she will validate the system and data against the requirements and system design. The Test Engineer will review requirements and application designs, put together a test plan and test/use case, implement the test, and provide results and recommendations to the developer’s team lead.

Candidate will serve as a Testing Engineer with responsibilities that include:

  • Meet with leads to review requirements and application design

  • Develop and modify test plans (manual and automated)

  • Employ system analysis techniques that translates system requirements into test cases/scenarios that ensures that all the assigned subset requirements are part of the system to be delivered

  • Create test case and data - Create Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP).

  • Work independently to ensure full test coverage of the assigned test

  • Provide full scale testing of applications and data

  • Perform section 508 testing, functional, and regression testing as appropriate.

  • Interpret operational user requirements for inclusion in test studies and analysis.

Required:

  • BS or equivalent + 5 yrs related experience, or MS + 3 yrs related experience.

  • Extensive experience in designing test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional requirements, relative to the test level, as defined in business or technical specifications.

  • Extensive experience in testing processes and tools to: execute test cases and script

  • Experience in Team Foundation Server (TFS) is required and Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) is strongly preferred

  • Experience building test plans and building test cases

  • Experience with web application and custom application testing is required

Desired:

  • Extensive experience in analyzing test results

  • Extensive experience reporting on testing progress and results

  • Extensive experience documenting final test results in order to execute testing engagement

  • Experience on Agile Teams is preferred

  • Experience with automated testing is preferred

  • Experience with mobile application testing is preferred

  • Experience in the review of documentation and able to provide comments and recommendations for acceptance or correction or improvements.

  • Experience with Section 508 testing is preferred

  • Experience with COTS applications, and database application testing.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to interact with multidisciplinary project team members and Government personnel

  • Possess strong organization and planning skills.
