Job Description:

The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) provides Drug Test Administration and Oversight services to all of NASA’s designated employees. Travel may be required.

  • Provide coordination and oversight of a third-party subcontracted testing administrator for all NASA-designated employees at each of the NASA Centers throughout the U.S.

  • Performs their functions as a Service Provider to NASA, with oversight of their activities by NASA Civil Servants, under the policy guidance of the Agency’s Headquarters and the Drug-Free Workplace Program.

  • Oversee subcontracted testing personnel and monitor their processes.

  • Work as a member of a team and work independently, following guidelines and adhering to strict deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS and 3 years experience or a MS and 1 year or the equivalent

Contract Qualifications:

  • Eight years HR experience.

  • Excellent communication and writing skills needed to work with high-level federal employees, up to and including the NASA Administrator.

  • Excellent organizational abilities to record and track events, documents and information from testing administered at Agency locations throughout the U.S.

  • Must be familiar with using and interpreting standards and regulations, including the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Mandatory Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing Programs, Federal and NASA procedural regulations.

  • Experience and knowledge of PC-based computers and software experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Experience with Drug Testing Management software

  • Knowledge of Human Resources activities or Federal/Government contracting experience helpful.

  • Experience with diagnostic laboratory testing for federally regulated Drug-Free Workplace Programs.
