Perform administrative duties in a Microsoft and Cisco centric environment. Maintains, administers, and troubleshoots end user devices and addresses user requests. Performs troubleshooting and maintenance on network and server equipment related to user requests and incidents. Key end user interface for support organization once escalated beyond Service Desk. Provides NIPR and SIPR Tier II and Tier III support to the Office of Supreme Allied Commander Europe.
Provides Tier II and Tier III troubleshooting and problem resolution for classified and unclassified server and network enterprise services for core Cisco, Microsoft, and VMware technologies including Active Directory, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, Exchange 2007, Lync 2010, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 IOS devices. Must have deep understanding and knowledge of Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012 R2 operating systems to include installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance. Must be able to troubleshoot and manage Group Policy Objects as well as managing server backup/recovery technologies. Requires routine interpretation and implementation of related DISA STIGs and CYBERCOM TASKORDs to enhance the security posture of the environment. Responsible for updating the security posture of assets in the vulnerability management system of record and submissions of waivers and risk acceptance for non-mitigated findings. Uses Remedy ITSM to track network, server, and services outages and issues and provide to provide incident and problem management. Monitors all network services using Systems Center Operations Manager and What’s Up Gold technologies. Uses Systems Center Configuration Manager 2012 to applies operating system and application patches, hotfixes, and upgrades. Responsible for monitoring and managing NetApp Storage Area Network and VMware ESXi infrastructure. Troubleshoots and resolves network layer 2 and layer 3 problems to include firewalls and Cisco network devices and VPNs.
Required Skills / Certifications :
CompTIA Security+ CE (Computing Environment) OR other IAW DoD 8570.1 Technical Level II certification
Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
