Job Description:

Summary of Duties:

  • Prepares the simulation aircraft for pre-flight inspection

  • Isolates problems in the hardware and software of the device.

  • Repairs digital and analog circuits.

  • Troubleshoots navigation instruments and communication instrument prior to use.

  • Conducts complex repair on hybrid computers, fiber optic cables, connectors, and peripheral devices.

  • Tears down and sets up the device in remote areas in preparation for soldiers use.

  • Troubleshoots the devices complex hydraulic system which has a 5/6 degree freedom of motion.

  • Calibration of sensitive test equipment used for repairing the device.

  • Diagnosis’s and repairs simulator faults that occur on the device

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years related experience OR Associate’s degree with 7 years experience OR 11 years experience in related field of work assignment


  • Must have a minimum of 11 years demonstrated progressive competence in performing electronic troubleshooting

  • Must have working knowledge of simulators sub-systems with specialized training in AH64, UH60, CH47,UH1 flight control and communications systems (Apache, Blackhawk, Chinook and Huey)

  • Extended experience in mainframe computers, linkage, visual, display, hydraulics, and related military discipline

  • Must have 6 years experience supporting simulations devices

  • Must be familiar with military complex maintenance procedure and supply actions

  • Must be able to perform soldering requirement in accordance to MIL STD 2000 certification standards

  • US SECRET Security Clearance

Work Environment:

  • Varies depending on site

  • Must be able to work rotating shifts and alternate work weeks if required to support customer training requirements.

  • Occasional air travel or travel by automobile may be required (not expected to exceed 25%)

  • Must be able to travel to various locations.
