Can you envision being a key player on the Communications and Information Technology Services (CITS) Program in Stuttgart, Germany?
CITS represents IT transformation and innovation on a large project with the shared objective to sustain and optimize mission critical operations. In addition, we provide full life-cycle O&M and Engineering support to EUCOM and AFRICOM.
We are seeking a Systems Engineer in Stuttgart, Germany.
Essential Job Functions
Candidate will maintain/improve EUCOM System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) environment by authoring custom management packs, maintaining agent coverage, and providing meaningful reports to technical teams on server performance/health. Candidate will manage SCOM environment from end to end and generate SCOM events from internal and external monitoring systems where possible.
Have experience scripting in PowerShell.
Have experience with other System Center products and generating events through System Center connectors.
Have experience working on user issues via System Center Service Manager (SCSM)/Remedy or similar ticketing system.
Demonstrate proficiency authoring custom SCOM management packs.
Demonstrate proficiency tuning SCOM alerts to meet specific technical team requirements.
Demonstrate proficiency automating SCOM agent installation and tracking client coverage.
Demonstrate proficiency creating SQL reports.
Qualifications / Certifications
Baseline Certification –
CompTia Security + CE (DoD 8570 IAT Level 2) (Required)
CASP (DoD 8570 IAT 3) (Preferred)
Computing Environment Certification – One of the following certifications are required within 6 months of start date:
MCP 70-242 Systems Center Operations Manager or
MCP 70-243 Administering/Deploying Systems Center or
MCP 70-696 Administering Systems Ctr Config Manager or
MCP – Any Windows Server 2012 Certification
Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Willingness to work flexible hours
Shift work may be required
On Call Status may be required
May be required to sign for equipment
Must be able to pass TESA requirements
