CITS represents IT transformation and innovation on a large project with the shared objective to sustain and optimize mission critical operations and provides full life-cycle O&M and Engineering support to EUCOM and AFRICOM.
We are seeking Systems Senior Administrator with storage knowledge in Djibouti .
Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
CSRA is seeking a Systems Senior Administrator to perform administrative duties in a Microsoft and Cisco centric environment on multiple military networks (Unclassified, Classified, and Coalition). Duties include monitoring, patching and troubleshooting for a large enterprise network to include Windows servers, Windows 10 desktops, printers, network scanners, peripherals, networking and other equipment and software. The position also includes administering Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies as well as ESXi host platforms. The position requires working a shift schedule of day or night, 12 hours per day and a 5 day work week.
The Systems Senior Administrator is responsible for system security and data integrity, assigns passwords, and monitors use of system resources. The Administrator is also responsible for virtual infrastructure, data storage systems, and system recovery mechanisms. He or she maintains and administers scalable, reliable, and well-performing server solutions. Candidate must be able to maintain and administer a wide range of applications in the server infrastructure, including database servers, web servers, print server, and application servers.
Monitor all local servers and services using Solar Winds and other monitoring tools. Experience providing support to end users and support administrators. Perform troubleshooting, reporting and escalation of system outages and events. Administer additions, changes, and removals in the server infrastructure. Manage and allocate storage, memory, CPU, and other resources.
Develop plans, processes and procedures to ensure the server availability, reliability, scalability and other performance goals.
Manage and verify system backups.
Create, update and close Remedy (or other ticketing system) trouble tickets. Work with application vendors to troubleshoot problems that arise in the environment. Research and coordinate technical issues and requirements related to systems and solutions. In depth knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems Windows 10, network connectivity, and desktop software application troubleshooting.
In depth knowledge of end user hardware and software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT III certifications (CISSP or CASP)
Virtual infrastructure operating environment
Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy management
Experience in ESXi host management
Strong customer-service orientation
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Four or more years of Systems Administration experience
Experience with large scale Windows environments
Experience with providing support of servers and systems
In depth working knowledge of Microsoft server and workstation products
MCSE – Server 2012 Platform certified
Strong working knowledge of the Windows operating system environment, security compliance measures in a DoD environment (STIG’s, IAVA’s, VMS, etc)
An in depth understanding of supporting technologies: IIS, DHCP/DNS, Anti-Virus, Systems Management, High Availability configurations (Microsoft Clustering, etc)
A thorough understanding of enterprise datacenter technologies including Networking, Security, TCP/IP, SAN and NAS, VMware, and physical datacenter practices
Preference given to the following skills:
Manage Commvault Backup Appliances
NetApp Storage Administration (NAS)
Managing Blue Coat ProxySG Web Appliance
DoD 8570 IAT III compliant certification CompTIA CASP or CISSP
VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) certification
Associates degree in IT related field (or 4+ yrs exp)
MCSE (must obtain within 6 months)
Must be willing to work 60 hr work week
