CSRA is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer
Help support the Government Accountability Office in its mission to save all US taxpayers money. Our customer is passionate about their mission and we are tasked with keeping their IT services running smoothly, to help them achieve their goals. We are looking for senior level systems engineer with hands-on DevOps experience implementing and managing automated infrastructures. This person will be working with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement a containerization platform and move teams towards a true DevOps and CI/CD principles. This role will be expected to influence the future architecture and map a path from yesterday to tomorrow for our application platforms.
To be successful, you should have advanced to expert knowledge in most of the following areas:
Experience designing and implementing container orchestration systems with Docker and containerization
Experience implementing Docker based Deployment Architecture
Experience implementing and managing private register and containers orchestration with tools such as Nexus Repository Manager or Docker Register
6+ years of experience with Linux administration, specifically RHEL7
3-5 years of automation of systems provisioning/management and application deployment processes
3+ years Ansible scripting supporting ops in a devops environment
Proficient in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment, such as Jenkins, Docker, GIT, JIRA
Experience working with or implementing PaaS environments
Most importantly, you should be a creative thinker and leader and be willing to work closely with developers and operations to enable both groups to create and deploy high quality applications faster.
Implement a container orchestration systems with tools such as Kubernetes or Docker EE
Implement, configure and manage Ansible Tower for server, application build and provisioning
Support and manage private registry for Docker using Nexus Repository Manager
Support process for pushing/pulling images to and from private Docker register
Develop process for updating and maintaining Docker containers
Lead evaluation, design, and implementation of container orchestration platform
Automate system provisioning/management and application deployment processes
Work directly with architects and developers to create supportable designs and debug problems.
Create infrastructure and architecture designs and implementation plans and lead the implementation with the operations team.
Work to continue improving existing designs and finding gaps.
Clearly document and maintain procedures for all established processes
Create and deliver knowledge sharing presentations and documentation to developers and operations teams
U.S. citizens/Green card ONLY due to government or federal requirement.
5-7+ Years of combined system engineering and DevOps engineering experience
Familiar with Agile methodologies
Designed and implemented Ansible Tower in enterprise environment
Designed and implemented container based orchestration in an enterprise environment
BS/MS in computer science or related field is preferred.
8+ years of total experience with at least 3 years of web administration or full stack development and 2 years of cloud experience is preferred
Java Application and Java Application Server administration/tuning experience (e.g.: Glassfish, Weblogic, Tomcat).
Solid experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or VMware vCloud and/or Docker
Solid Linux experience (eg: Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) with a focus on web (Apache/Nginx).
Experience with scripting languages (eg: BASH, Perl, Ruby) and automation tools (e.g. Ansible)
