CSRA is looking for a SolarWinds Administrator.
Help support the Government Accountability Office in its mission to save all US taxpayers money. Our customer is passionate about their mission and we are tasked with keeping their IT services running smoothly, to help them achieve their goals. The auditors in this 4000 user community are subject area experts in all facets of government and industry best practices. We take great pride in supporting their wide scope of technology needs.
The SolarWinds Administrator will support the implementation, maintenance and operations of SolarWinds and its supporting infrastructure, Core competencies required to administrator, support and operate the Orion SolarWinds platform includes modules such as Network Performance Monitoring, Network Configuration Manager, Server Application Monitor, NetFlow, Traffic analyzer and IP address Manager.
Design, implement, configure, document the following products in failover mode: NCM, NPM, Server & Application Monitor and Orion Enterprise Operations Console
Configure alerting and thresholds
Integration with SQL
Design, document architecture
Develop capacity planning reports
Experience with Riverbed AppResponse tool
Experience in configuring, operating and/or troubleshooting SolarWinds
Expertise in the administration, support and operation of the Orion SolarWinds platform including Network Performance Monitoring (NPM), Network Configuration Manager, Server Application Monitor (SAM), NetFlow, Traffic analyzer and IP address Manager.
Knowledge of and experience writing technical documents for an IT environment, to include but not limited to procedures for disaster recovery for IT infrastructure
Ability to communicate (both orally and written) effectively to various audiences
Experience performing Enterprise Systems Monitoring (ESM)
Ability to develop capacity planning reports
Experience with monitoring products – up to 3 year
Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration – up to 1 years
Experience performing network monitoring in a virtual environment – up to 3 year
Experience with integration of network/monitoring products with a ticketing system – up to 1 year
Experience troubleshooting VMware issues in a large environment – up to 1 year
Experience working in an enterprise cloud operations environment – up to 3 year
Knowledge of a scripting language (e.g., bash, perl) and experience with creating scripts to automate processes – up to 3 year
Ability to create formal documentation for systems administration, operations, and maintenance
