Job Description:

Eagle Alliance is looking for a Senior MicroFocus (formerly HP) Enterprise Management Tools Engineer that holds TS/SCI with poly clearance ( 8570 IAT II certification preferred) for a position located in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Essential job functions:

Perform Enterprise Management Tools Administration of the tools used to monitor and manage our enterprise networks. These tools include: MicroFocus Network Node Manager (NNM), Operations Manager (OM), Operations Agent (OA), SiteScope (SIS), Reporter, Network Automation (NA) and Cloud Optimizer (CO), InMon Traffic Sentinel, and BMC Configuration Automation for Networks. This work includes the duties associated with monitoring the health of the tools, troubleshooting tools problems, adjusting thresholds, making required configuration changes, adding or deleting nodes/accounts/profiles, and monitoring tables/events/logs/maps. Must have the ability to team with others within Service Delivery and other business areas to ensure optimal tools operation and to resolve day-to-day operational issues. Will be working with other teams to optimize organization processes in support of enterprise management, and to brainstorm detailed monitoring solutions. Will participate in the implementation of new tools solutions. Need the ability to develop and implement documentation on the work instructions used by the Tools Team and tools users.

Key responsibilities: Must meet contract level requirements for appropriate position. Strong experience in networking engineering, support, or administration is required (4 years). Solid experience with Brocade, Cisco and Juniper network routers and switches is desired. Experience in administering COTS monitoring tools is required. Experience in Linux or Windows server administration is highly desired. Experience with scripting (shell, JavaScript, Jython, Python, Perl) and/or programming is desired (Java, C) is desired. Must have strong attention to detail. The ability to multitask is very important. Need the ability to work on a team; must have solid oral and written communication skills. Experience in training and documentation is strongly desired.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines

• 8 years of Software Engineering experience. An additional 4+ years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 12 years.

• 3+ years work experience in the SIGINT, IA, or IT domains

• TS/SCI with Poly clearance

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • MicroFocus Business Service Management (BSM) tool suite experience is desirable:

  • MicroFocus SiteScope

  • MicroFocus Diagnostics

  • MicroFocus Operations Manager I (OMi)

  • MicroFocus Performance Manager

  • MicroFocus Ops Bridge Reporter

  • Integration experience with ServiceNow

  • Experience with Elastic ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, or Kibana)

  • Experience with Groovy

  • System administration background

  • 8570 IAT II certification
