Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Public Affairs/Communications Professional in Arlington, VA!

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead a contract team that provides public affairs and communications alignment support to Navy Public Affairs (CHINFO), with emphasis on communications strategy and planning; traditional and digital media analysis and assessment; and integration of that planning, analysis and execution into Navy communications strategies.

  • Provide analytical support and management to assist with implementation of a broad spectrum of public affairs issues, policies and programs.

  • Lead a team of communications professionals to support creation of overarching communications strategies for the Navy's communications issues -- help identify goals, objective and end states.

  • Assist with formulation of communications themes and messages; and desired outcomes.

  • Help with communications on the Navy's foremost objectives and issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in communications and 16 years experience working in and leading communications and public affairs teams.

  • Knowledge of military public affairs operations.

  • Knowledge of U.S. military and government public affairs

  • Expertise in public communications/public affairs/public relations strategy, planning and program execution

  • Knowledge of environment and risk management

  • Knowledge of and expertise in ethical public relations

  • Expertise in analysis and assessment of traditional and social media platforms and outlets

  • Secret level clearance
