Job Description:

Analysts will work in a team environment under the technical direction of a CSRA team manager to gather, process, verify, validate, review, and assess information and evidence acquired or developed through defense investigations, interviews, analysis, and discovery; develop leads for further analysis or investigation; conduct research and analysis to support attorney products and strategy; draft analytical reports; and prepare exhibits for trial. Analysts may also be called upon to provide testimony. Team members will serve on a privileged basis to defense counsel litigating military commission cases (i.e., individuals will be required to maintain, preserve, and protect attorney-client privilege).

Travel Requirements: Schedule and tempo will vary, but may be as much as 10 to 30% domestic and international travel. All candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. Passport.

A ll applicants must possess a current Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and be U.S. Citizens.

QUALIFICATIONS .

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-5 years of progressive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral), attention to detail, analytical and presentation skills, and ability to work effectively with diverse groups in a demanding environment

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to use established analytical tools and techniques to generate comprehensive products (e.g., reports, assessments, white papers, link charts, and briefings)

  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous task requirements within a fast-paced environment

Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., justice, criminology, national security, intelligence)

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in intelligence analysis and/or criminal litigation support

  • Knowledge of capital defense concepts, including mitigation

  • Experience providing analytical support to criminal defense cases

  • Ability to work with a multi-discipline defense team to develop and implement case-specific strategies, techniques, and products

  • Ability to recognize complex problem sets and adapt analytical approach and techniques

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (or similar applications)

  • Familiarity with LexisNexis platforms (Concordance and CaseMap) or similar litigation support software
