Job Description:

The ideal candidate shall have experience developing RESTful services, back-end systems, and working across multiple tech stacks. They will understand Web-based Software Development and use Agile Development practices. They can code and test software based upon software specifications and designs. Have experience analyzing and studying complex system requirements and using design software tools to support software reuse and API based software development.

US Citizenship required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Position of Trust with the Department of Justice.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Java, .NET or other comparable languages

  • Experience on projects that develop complex software, ensuring a collaborative environment and configuration management.

  • Experience using an Agile based software development life cycle.

  • Knowledge of software design patterns

  • Spring, REST, XML & JSON processing

  • Git/Maven/bash

  • Continuous Integration best practices with a working knowledge of DevOps.

  • Proficiency with at least one Relational Database Management System (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree (e.g. information systems, computer science, math, or engineering)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides application development and technical support

  • Participates in the technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of Enterprise software systems.

  • Works closely with more junior software developers to ensure standards are met and problems are resolved.

  • Assists with code reviews and planning sessions

  • Plans, schedules and conducts systems tests, monitors test results, and takes appropriate corrective action

  • Prepare technical user guides

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
