Join CSRA and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a Chief Network Architect to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

The Department of the Navy (DON) operates one of the largest combined networks in the world, comprised of the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), the Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) Navy Enterprise Network (ONE-Net), the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) and other legacy networks. The Service Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) program will facilitate an enterprise-wide capability for effective and integrated operations, oversight, responsibility, and accountability for the NMCI and the MCEN, as well as incorporate the ONE-Net into a consolidated enterprise IT services business model.

The Chief Architect leads development of all NEN network plans, oversees implementation of network architecting and engineering efforts, and responsible for setting direction and promoting continuous evolution of the network, including architecture refresh and cloud integration.

Essential Functions:

  • Creating, reviewing, analyzing, and incorporating technical requirements into Enterprise Wide architectures.

  • Communicating critical and time sensitive network planning, performance, and vulnerability information directly to the Naval Enterprise Networks (NEN) Chief Engineer, Assistant Program Manager for Network Infrastructure, and Assistant Program Manager for Cybersecurity.

  • Representing the Contractor at program-level technical meetings.

  • Providing guidance, oversight and direction for application of start of the art information technology within the DON, ensuring that the Marine Corps and Navy utilizes best in class technologies and practices in support of its missions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university, in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree, M.S. or Ph.D. in science or engineering, highly desired.

  • At least 15 years of combined experience performing network engineering and architecting duties on projects that support at least 100,000 users either internationally or across multiple US states. This experience shall include designing, developing, build and implementing information security within networks using DoD information security standards, network infrastructure life cycle management, researching and proposing new networking technologies for inclusion in future designs, and developing detailed end-to-end network performance assessments.

  • Active Top Secret clearance required; must be able to obtain TS/SCI

  • COMPTIA Network+ Certification and at least one of the following vendor specific certifications: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert, Cisco Certified Network Professional, Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization, Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization, Juniper Networks Certified Enterprise Routing and Switching-Expert, or Juniper Networks Certified Enterprise Routing and Switching-Professional.

  • Enterprise Architect Certificate or similar certification is highly desired.
