GDIT/CSRA is an IT technology solutions company specializing in data management, software engineering and business intelligence solutions. Opportunity for a Business Process Analyst with Agile experience to join a fast-paced program that develops advanced IT solutions and services for a cloud hosted Enterprise Portal Application. The program objective is to design, build, or acquire innovative, cost-effective, and efficient Portal engineering services to meet the mission of CMS.

Position Description

The Application Business Analyst (BA) will provide requirements support for the Enterprise Portal. The Portal provides single sign on for our customer. BA responsibilities include conducting Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, developing business requirements, translating business requirements to functional, user, and system requirements, and developing supporting materials such as use cases, flowcharts, context diagrams, wireframes, interface system diagrams, and data flows. The applications business analyst will support internal and external Portal projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing business, functional and system user stories and requirements for large-scale web applications, operating under an Agile framework. He or she will be a strong team player who is able to work effectively and efficiently, even in high schedule pressure situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop Portal business requirements

  • Develop Gap Analysis documentation to define customers' business needs

  • Translate business requirements to detailed user, functional, and systems requirements, using Agile

  • Support the Portal team to ensure implementation meets specifications/expectations

  • Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to generate use cases and context diagrams

  • Serve as primary contact with the Subject Matter Experts

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology related field

  • SCRUM master certification or the equivalent

  • 6 years of experience in requirements capture, management and analysis activities in all phases of the software development life cycle.

  • 6 years of experience in (1 developing “as is” and “to be” and context diagrams, (2 translating high level business requirements into detailed use cases and flow diagrams (3 developing detailed user, functional and system requirements, and (4 developing or assessing Interface Control Documents

  • 4 years of experience in large, web-based, cutting edge, web application development projects, using the Agile methodology

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences

  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources

  • Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority

Desired Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

  • 4 year of experience in Web Based applications

  • 1 year of experience with support tools such as JIRA and Remedy
