GDIT/CSRA is an IT technology solutions company specializing in data management, software engineering and business intelligence solutions. Opportunity for an Automation Test Engineer to join a fast-paced program that develops advanced IT solutions and services for a cloud hosted Enterprise Portal Application. The program objective is to design, build, or acquire innovative, cost-effective, and efficient Portal engineering services to meet the mission of CMS.

Position Description

The test engineer will serve on the Enterprise Portal team. The Portal provides the customer with single sign on and makes use of micro-services. Duties include: (1) Development of automation framework for micro services; (2) Testing releases (3) Creating test documents. Release testing could require work during non-business hours (i.e., there may be some evening/weekend/holiday work).

The candidate must be detail oriented, with strong follow-up skills to ensure test completion

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end automation testing frameworks and automation suites for front- and back-end testing of a responsive portal application which uses micro services

  • Creating, maintaining and updating Portal test cases

  • Testing using different browser tools, including mobile

  • Accessibility testing for impaired users (508 testing)

  • Maintaining an Enterprise Portal automation framework design and execution document

  • Conducting/participating in peer reviews of test cases and test documents

  • Creating dashboard reports and updates with automation test cases, test results

  • Maintaining and executing smoke, and regression scripts by adding new features and updating/fixing existing features due to requirements/environmental changes

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • 9 or more years of experience as a Test Engineer

  • 9 or more years of experience developing testing documentation, such as Test Summary Reports and requirements traceability reports

  • 6 years of experience in test automation using Selenium or the equivalent

  • 4 years of experience in developing test automation frameworks, preferably Selenium

  • 4 year ofs experience with CURL and HTTPie tools

  • 4 years of experience in API test frameworks such as Mocha, Chai, Jasmine

  • 2-3 years of experience in scripting languages such as NodeJS

  • 4 years of experience developing automated scripts for RESTful services and integrating them with Jenkins/GIT

  • 4 years of experience working within Agile teams

  • 6 years of experience using defect tracking tools such as JIRA and Quality Center

Desired Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

  • Developer background, preferably in JAVA
