Job Description:

CSRA, a GDIT company, is currently looking for a Network Engineer Senior to join our mission critical team located at Columbus, OH. Candidate will support a DoD Agency Wide Area Network Tier II engineering team. Position is on a shift scheduled, working 00:00 to 08:30 Sunday – Thursday. Candidates interested in applying for the Network Engineer Senior opportunity should possess an active Top Secret clearance, CCNA or BCNE, and IAT-II certifications in order to be considered for this opportunity.

As the selected Network Engineer Senior , you will be responsible for the following (not limited to):

  • Support network monitoring tools not limited to but including Hewlett Packard Enterprise Open view, Network Automation, Network Node Manager, Concord eHealth, and SolarWinds

  • Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware and software for a DoD Agency Enterprise Network Infrastructure to include:

  • Overall topology

  • Layer-3 design

  • QoS (Quality of Service)

  • Switchport level access controls and notification

  • IPv6 configuration

  • 802.1x – protocols and appliances

  • Domain Name System/Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol/IP Access Management (DNS/DHCP/IPAM) appliances

  • F5 BigIP Proxy/traffic management appliances

  • Pulse Secure Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) VPN appliances

  • Network sniffer technologies, including NetScout InfiniStream and nGeniousOne

  • Open Systems Interconnection model (OSI model) Layers 1-7 Network Protocols, including IPv6 and IPv4 (TCP, UDP, ICMP, IGMP, ARP, AH, ESP, VRRP, BGP, MPLS, OSPF)

  • IEEE Standards: 802.1x, 802.3, 802.11

  • Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting Protocols, including TACACS+ and RADIUS

In order to be considered for the Network Engineer Senior opportunity with NES Associates, a GDIT company, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Must possess an advanced degree in electrical, electronics, or systems engineering, with at least eight years of experience in that field. Five years of this work experience must be directly related to the above description.

  • Alternate qualifications include (a) a BS degree in a related field and at least 10 years of experience in the information systems/software engineering field, OR (b) a Ph.D. may be substituted for two years’ experience.

  • Must have one of the following certifications: BCNE, BCNP, CCNA, CCNP, CCSE NGX, CCIE, CCSP, SCNA, CCSE NGX Plus NG with AI, CCMSE NG with AI, CSMSE NG with AI Plus VSX, NSA, ESE, ECIE-C, CCDA

  • Must have an IAT-II certification

  • Must have an active Top Secret Clearance or a Secret with IT-1 (SSBI)
