Job Description:

Systems Engineer

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a science, technology, engineering or math discipline and three to five (3 to 5) years of relevant experience or equivalent. Relevant experience includes the following: working as a system engineer, system performance analyst, subject matter expert, reliability/maintainability/availability (R/M/A) engineer, security engineer, or safety engineer. Familiarity with Big Data and/or Cloud requirements is a plus. Knowledge of Agile development process is desired but not required.

Job Description: Under general supervision, formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs and specifications, research, and fact-finding. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Defines, develops, and refines system requirements, documenting the requirements in detailed specifications from which programs will be developed and/or procured, and from which hardware will be developed and/or procured. Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. Participates in independent technical investigations in systems design. Familiar with FAA- STD-026A NAS Software Development Standard, or equivalent.
