Job Description:

Join GDIT’s Defense Division and drive the technical strategy and solutions needed to help our business grow and achieve customer success. As Chief Technology Officer , you will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with key customers across our business portfolio. You will align our delivery teams around the technical strategies and solutions needed to help our customers succeed. You will serve as a leader in determining how we go to market around technology and technical services and take an active role helping us win large, complex Growth opportunities. We are looking for a senior thought leader with strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of information technology, and broad experience across the Defense market.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development and execution of a Defense Division technical strategy that aligns with and serves the broader business strategy

  • Engage top customers in the Defense Division portfolio to cultivate new business opportunities and ensure that GDIT is able to successfully deliver on existing Programs

  • Help recruit, develop and retain top technical talent within the Division

  • Help Capture teams to shape and successfully execute technical win strategies for our largest and most complex Growth opportunities

  • Identify and build strategic relationships with partners and vendors that serve our go-to-market strategy

  • Engage with the media and market analysts to help them understand GDIT’s point of view and value proposition

  • Lead a team of solution architects and technologists that provide IT solutions for our Growth opportunities and delivery Programs

  • Provide leadership and support to help our delivery Programs succeed in execution

  • Contribute to the technology strategy of the broader GDIT company

  • Participate in and speak at conferences and other events on any range of technology- or customer-focused topics

Basic Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, or related field (preferred)

  • 15 or more years of experience serving as a technical leader

  • In-depth knowledge of the Department of Defense mission and market

  • Five or more years of experience successfully providing technical leadership on complex capture pursuits and proposals

  • Broad knowledge of information technology with 20 or more years of experience delivering IT services. Deep knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Cloud computing

  • Data and Analytics

  • Cyber Security

  • Application and Migration Services

  • Enterprise IT

  • Strong communications, facilitation, and engagement skills

  • Ability to effectively engage current and prospective customers to build trust and relationships, clearly communicate solutions and concepts, and influence action

  • Ability to effectively engage with C-suite leadership

  • Ability to develop executable technical strategies and complex solutions

  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment

  • Ability to motivate teams to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time and in challenging situations

  • Ability to write exceptionally, and to lead proposal review teams

Other Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience serving in the DoD or serving that community

  • Creative thinking, problem solving, time management and organizational skills

  • Strong human relations skills

  • Willingness to travel (up to 60%)

  • Secret, Optional – TS or higher Clearance
