Job Description:

We are seeking a Microsoft SharePoint Developer / Designer and Project Server Administrator who can help develop and maintain multiple sites for the Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO-EIS) at Fort Belvoir, VA. This candidate should also have MS SQL experience. The PEO-EIS team is responsible for providing requirements and recommendations for next generation deployments and architecture across the Network. We utilize a corporate instance of MS Sharepoint Office 365 plus a PEO EIS Sharepoint Server 2013 and MS Project Server 2013 to share data across the team and provide status updates to the client.

The candidate will work with points of contact (POC) from multiple customer teams to support the clients’ collaboration platform and the global intranet in the effort of implementing new solutions, increased usability, and design changes according to customer needs. The customer would like to utilize the out-of-the-box capabilities to the full extent before looking to any third-party vendor options, so candidates must be very proficient in MS Sharepoint and Project Server capabilities. This role requires excellent communication skills with a focus on collaboration, implementation of user requirements, and the ability to work closely with a local and global team. Successful candidates should also have strong initiative, solid judgment capabilities, and a desire to continually grow their technical knowledge around MS SharePoint and Project Server.

A successful candidate must have 3+ years of experience as an Administrator for MS SharePoint and Project Server and must possess skills specific to building intuitive website taxonomy, creating content and metadata strategies, building and customizing workflows, creating dashboards, developing reports, interfaces with other systems of record, performing administration and troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to identify, recommend and implement third party solutions, plug-ins and custom web parts to include Bamboo Solutions

  • Supporting content/document management processes using SharePoint and Project Server

  • Integrating SharePoint site and SharePoint 2013 components for enterprise portal and collaboration solutions.

  • Strong knowledge and experience using SharePoint designer

  • Develops and maintains project schedules within Project Server, assisting users with schedule development, and providing recommendations and best practices to the Project Server user community.

  • Maintain Project Web App Settings, e.g. Personal, Enterprise, Queue and Database Administration, Workflow and Task Management, etc...

  • Supporting and developing integration points between SharePoint solution and external business applications using APIs and other standard protocols.

  • Ability to troubleshoot highly technical issues in a distributed environment.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment.

  • Knowledge and ability to implement a SharePoint solution using a SQL backend.
