GDIT’s next-generation information technology solutions and services enable the generation of intelligence in support of our customers’ missions to protect the safety and security of our nation. Those solutions and services support and modernize global IT infrastructure to achieve desired customer outcomes via a Managed Services delivery model across the Intelligence Community. Included in the Managed Services we provide Service Desk support that allows mission users to do their jobs effectively.
GDIT is seeking a Systems Administrator with a TS/SCI and Favorable Poly to aid in this mission critical area.
The System Administrator provides support to end users on a variety of issues.
System Administrators identify, research, and resolve technical problems; respond to telephone calls, email and personal requests for technical support.
Support spans break/fix issues including analysis and repair of connectivity, software and hardware, as well as, access requests, equipment configuration, quality control, software installation and upgrading.
Document, track, and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution.Coordinates IT support process to ensure requests are completed in a timely manner and ensure customers are satisfied with support services.
Resolve computer software and hardware problems for all users and consult with users to determine source of specific error and recommend solution. Calls that cannot be resolved at initial contact shall be forwarded to the appropriate office that supports the application.
Coordinate with other areas to resolve problems if necessary.
Provide on-site technical assistance in support of IT initiatives and projects as needed.
Perform on-site duties 24X7X365 include nights, weekends and holidays as required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS or equivalent + 5 yrs related experience, or MS + 3 yrs related experience
