Join CSRA and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst Associate to join our team at Langley AFB, VA.
Serves as a Cyber Security Analyst Associate for the 480th Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) Wing Security Office and the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination (PED) Operations Center (DPOC).
So what is required of a Cyber Security Analyst Associate on a day to day basis?
Performs forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence. Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators.
Investigates computer fraud or other electronic crimes, crack files and system passwords, detects steganography and recovers deleted, fragmented and corrupted data from digital media of all types.
Ensures chain of custody and control procedures, documents procedures and findings in a manner suitable for courtroom presentation and prepares comprehensive written notes and reports.
May be required to testify in court as expert witnesses.
Audit reviews should identify any potential security anomalies or unauthorized systems accesses.
They must review, archive and backup all required security log files in the DPOC.
They must know how to navigate and manipulate the different desktop environments in the DPOC.
All tasks identified in this commitment shall be performed without supervision. Security anomalies shall be researched and evaluated prior to escalation.

Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
CND must provide the highest level of customer support, and professional courtesy. Continuously demonstrate initiative by the development of new processes/procedures and the development of Operating Instructions.
Continuously looks beyond daily tasks to improve CND operations.
Exhibits the ability to make correct decisions based on Program and local guidance.
Travel is a part of the CSRA 480 ISR Wing support contract.
CNDs are required to travel in support of Contingency of Operation Planning (COOP) exercises.
Other travel may include DCGS site project support and/or training requirements.
Cooperativeness in volunteering and/or support of short notice requirements weigh heavily in this measure
BS or equivalent + 0 yrs experience
Must possess and retain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Must possess and retain Security+ certification.
Must demonstrate intimate familiarity with the process of retrieving audit files and the various methods and software used to analyze them.
Must have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, to include, knowledge of IP addressing, ports and services, network vulnerability and how to mitigate them. The CND analysis must also have a solid understanding of networking equipment, primarily routers and switches, as well as their vulnerabilities.
The CND analysis must be capable of completing configuration management procedures by identifying CM log deficiencies, validation of ports and Service Request (PSR) implementation, and any apparent security holes, (i.e. excessive ranges, unauthorized port, or ensuring that ACL are applied to appropriate interfaces) with minimal input from the Computer Network Defense Engineer.
The CND must be proficient in creating and managing external portal user accounts.
Security+ certification is the minimum standard for the DPOC. This commitment is demonstrated through the use of configuration management procedures for network equipment.
In addition to certification, the CND can further demonstrate professional development by attending formal security training courses or by obtaining membership in a professional security organization.
