Job Description:

Join CSRA and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. The Personnel Modernization (PersMod) program is seeking a Systems Architect to join their team in New Orleans, LA.

The PersMod program provides the support, sustainment, upgrades, and modernization of personnel systems under the Navy's Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS) strategy. Specifically it directly supports the Navy strategy to modernize, consolidate and retire legacy systems. The first major modernization will integrate and streamline the retirement and separation business processes for both officers and enlisted personnel.

The Architect:

  • Designs and defines information technology (IT) system architecture for integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the enterprise.

  • Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security.

  • Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system.

  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.

  • Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards.

  • Assists in the development of and manages an architecture governance process.

  • Develops and recommends corrective actions.

  • May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

Level 3 DAWIA Certification includes:

  • Training in Configuration Management for programs

  • Training in DoDAF Architectures, what they are, how to use them, how to build them

  • Training in systems engineering principles and practices

  • Training in Engineering lifecycle models and methodologies

  • Training in Program Management principles and methods

  • Training in Risk Management principles and methods

  • Basic training in Information Assurance/Cyber Security

  • Training in Project scheduling and work breakdown structures, including experience using MS Project

  • Training in the purpose and conduct of Technical Reviews

  • Training in the principles of Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) principles and methods

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • 10+ years of experience:

  • DoDAF tool experience with System Architect or comparable tool.

  • Experience in building integrated architecture views, especially SV-1, SV-6.

  • CMM/CMMI training or experience in performing at level 2/3 or higher

  • Knowledge and experience in repeatable processes, configuration management disciple, Software/System development methodologies.

  • Secret clearance
