Job Description:

NES Associates, LLC, a CSRA company is searching for an Network Communications Lead to support the DISN and telecommunications circuit and services provisioning the Air Force Long Haul Communications Enterprise Office. We are seeking subject matter and technical expertise to develop, program, manage and execute the Air Force's DISN Lead Command and Common-User DISN requirements management responsibilities.

As the selected Network Communications Lead , you will be responsible for the following (not limited to)

  • Serve as DISA services and DISN Transport subject matter expert supporting both the AF Long Haul Communications office, but also AF customers globally.

  • Be able to represent the AF and/or AF Long Haul Communications office on multiple DISA and AF IPT’s and other working groups. Travel to meeting events may be required.

  • Decompose customer requirements and assist with the development of high-level network WAN solutions leveraging DISA network services and DISN transport topology.

  • Understand the AF’s evolving network topology as it migrates to the DISA Joint Regional Security Stacks and DISA MPLS transport and be able to advise AF customers on appropriate migration strategies.

  • Analyze large amounts of data and/or circuit listings and be able determine trends/root causes and communicate these findings to AF or DISA customers

  • Demonstrate excellent communications skills in order to participate in high-level meetings and be able to draft point papers, talking papers, briefings, and other written correspondence which can be used by the AF customer for presentation and engagement with senior leadership across the AF and DoD.

  • Understand the organizational structure of the AF and a high-level understanding of the AF cyber operations organizations and their responsibilities.

  • Analyze policy and directives from DoD, AF, and DISA and be able to articulate possible effects on AF customers.

In order to be considered for the Network Communications Lead , you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Possess a working knowledge of DoD and AF funding mechanisms and future financial programming/planning cycles.

  • Possess a firm understanding of DISA and AF systems like WWOLS-R, StoreFront, TIBI, and TCOSS and have a strong understanding of network fundamentals, DISN and commercial telecommunications infrastructure and architecture, and knowledge of current and future initiatives being carried out across the DoDIN.

  • Active Secret clearance

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
