Job Description:

  • CSRA is currently looking for a Network Engineer in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Must have a current and active Secret clearance and able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

  • Network Engineer in Kaiserslautern Germany:

  • Designs and plans network systems.

  • Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.

  • Provide specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

  • Conducts testing of network systems.

  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.

  • Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, supports, coordinates, controls or operates specialized components of a network whether data, voice or video.

  • Conducts activities such as planning, coordinating, configuring, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting and tuning devices on any given type of a network infrastructure which might include routers, switches, gateways, firewall systems, multi-function switches, end offices, signaling transfer points, private branch exchanges, voice over - IP [VoIP], voice mail, call management systems [CMS] and network security devices.

  • Interconnection of various networking devices via Fiber and CAT6 cabling. Organizing Network rooms and working with customer to upgrade network equipment throughout Europe.

  • Successful candidates must be willing to travel through Europe.

  • Installs and maintains network facilities, including hardware, software, and system data for small networks.

  • Performs data or voice network configurations and configuration changes of various voice or data equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience Interpreting design plans provided by the customer.

  • Must have a current and active Secret clearance and be able to obtain TS/SCI

  • 5+ years of related experience

  • Cisco LAN/WLAN Vendor Knowledge

  • Cisco certifications
