Job Description:

We are seeking a Network Administrator in Stuttgart, Germany!

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform all tasks required to maintain the secure operational state of network services within the supported Department of Defense (DoD) classified and unclassified environments. This includes the daily administration of all network systems comprised of many hardware, software, and peripheral components supporting many technologies. A few of the supported technologies are Enterprise Data Centers, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Desktop Computing, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Video teleconference (VTC), Virtual Servers, Virtual Desktop, Cloud Computing, and Quality of Service (QOS).

  • Manages user accounts and device security configurations in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Coordinates with Information Security to ensure services and their supporting security plans are maintained in accordance with best practice and organizational policy. This is further supported by implementing, documenting, coordinating, and enforcing network policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Responds both professionally and effectively to end user incidents. This involves coordination with customer, coworkers, and 3rd party agencies to resolve incidents within defined Service Level Agreement (SLA) or management directed timelines.

  • Ensures optimal service performance through a proactive maintenance and Continual Service Improvement (CSI) process.

  • Supports hardware life cycle maintenance projects, which will require the installation enterprise network devices in Telecommunication Rooms (TR) and enterprise Data Centers (DC).

  • Understands cable infrastructure fiber and copper standards for both inside and outside plant.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Possess strong computer skills in common office applications,

Information Technology (IT) service management ticketing

applications, and network monitoring tools.

  • Strong knowledge or experience in virtual networking and/or

server virtualization technologies and server operating systems.

Required Qualifications / Certifications:

  • CASP or CISSP or other certification IAW DoD 8570.1 Technical Level III)

  • One of the following computing environment certification is required

  • CCNP R&S, CCNP Security or CCNP Collaboration

  • VMware knowledge

  • Cisco Unified Computing Servers (UCS) knowledge

Special Requirements:

  • Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Level Clearance

  • Willingness to work flexible hours

  • Shift work may be required

  • On Call Status may be required

  • Must meet TESA requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • May be required to sign for equipment
