We are seeking an Audio Visual Technician in Djibouti, Africa .
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Responsible for coordinating with all necessary subordinate Commands at Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa to satisfy Audio/Visual (A/V) and Video Teleconference (VTC) user request for multipoint, point-to-point, secure, and non-secure A/V collaboration and VTC conferences.
Troubleshoot and maintain A/V equipment and applications in a Thinklogical VX640 (preferred), Crestron, AMX, or similar environment.
Installation, operation and maintenance of endpoints including portable systems and software-based such as Defense Collaborations Services (DCS), DISA Global Video Services (GVS), Cisco Movi/Jabber and Vidyo Desktop clients.
Oversees maintenance actions including inspections, service contracts, and upgrades. Ensures A/V system components meet all user requirements.
Provide user training for system controls and operations.
The AV System Administrator works closely with other members of the IT services team to ensure A/V and VTC operability.
Provide real-time, on-site support of A/V and VTC capabilities in a classified environment
Provide first-line troubleshooting of A/V display sharing and Customer control interface panels
Provide operational and maintenance support of A/V systems in conference rooms, training rooms, auditoriums, senior leader offices, video walls, signage systems, and command center work areas and provides operating instructions to AV customers
Maintain and configure Classified VTC systems
Manage scheduling and provide operational assistance for conference initiation to VTC customers
Sets-up, test, and operate A/V technologies existing within conference rooms
Configure and maintain systems, software, and hardware in accordance with DISA, DOD and industry standards/guidelines
Develop, deliver, and maintain the appropriate connection approval packages (e.g. Diagrams, Access Approval Document, etc.) for the DISA Global Video Services certification and accreditation program
Creates, update, and resolve trouble tickets as assigned as well as monitoring queue
REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
CompTIA Security+ OR other IAT DoD 8570.1 Technical Level II certification or higher
Thinklogical (or similar) A/V operational environment experience
Cisco/Tandberg Videoconference experience
Minimum of 5 years with A/V and VTC management and installation
Strong Thinklogical (or similar) switch/router/control panel configuration and support experience in a DoD environment
Strong understanding of H.320, H.323, Sip and TIP Videoconferencing standards
Experience in configuring, and installing major videoconferencing equipment and software such as Cisco codecs, MCU, VCS, and TMS control systems
Strong knowledge of DISA Global Video Services network infrastructure Gateways, Gatekeepers, and implementation of SIP and H.323 endpoints,
Possess a working knowledge of integrated and nonintegrated video conferencing systems
NSS Remedy or similar application experience
On Call Status may be required
