Job Description:

We are seeking a Systems Administrator with virtualization expertise in HOA Djibouti .


  • Perform administrative duties in a Microsoft and Cisco centric environment on multiple military networks (Unclassified, Classified, and Coalition).

  • Primary duties include management and maintenance of VMWare virtualization environments both local and downrange through WAN connections, along with the installation and upgrade of Windows server virtual machines (VM).

  • Administering Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies as well as ESXi host platforms.

  • Responsible for system security and data integrity, assigns passwords, and monitors use of system resources.

  • Analyze current plans, processes and procedures and promote changes to ensure the server availability, reliability, scalability and other performance goals.

  • Schedule server update tasks to ensure software updates are installed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Provide a team approach to problem resolution working with higher headquarters engineers and application vendors to troubleshoot problems that arise in the environment.

  • Research and coordinate technical issues and requirements related to systems and solutions.

  • Provide tier III support for issues relating to Microsoft infrastructure, Windows 10 desktop, print servers, network scanners, peripherals, device connectivity, along with equipment and software.

  • Maintain and administer a wide range of applications in the server infrastructure, including database servers, web servers, print server, and application servers.

  • Install and maintain VMWare environments on both Dell and Cisco UCS platforms.

  • Plan, create and maintain server VM templates right-sizing resources to application requirements.

  • Create Snapshots and restore VMs as necessary.

  • Monitor and resolve issues in Remedy ensuring detailed descriptions are documented before closure.

  • Resolve Tier III level issues relating to Microsoft infrastructure, SharePoint installation, Cluster services, Windows 10 desktop, print servers, network scanners, peripherals, device connectivity, along with equipment and software.

  • Maintain Microsoft infrastructure DNS, DHCP, AD and other associated services.

NOTE: The position will require working a shift schedule of day or night, 12 hours per day and a 5 day work week.


  • Must posses an active Secret Clearance and have the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.

  • Must posses an Associates Degree in IT related field or equivalent experience

  • Must posses a CompTIA CISSP or CASP IAT DoD 8570.1 Technical Level III certification or higher

  • Must posses a VCP Certification - Virtual infrastructure operating environment

  • 4+ years of Systems Administration experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud and Infrastructure

  • Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy management

  • Knowledge of installation and maintenance clustered server solutions

  • Experience in customer support in both datacenter and remote locations.

  • Strong customer-service orientation

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • In depth working knowledge of Microsoft server and workstation products

  • Shift work required

  • May be required to sign for equipment


  • Currently hold OR the ability to obtain a MCSE Server 2012 or 2016 Platform Certification within 6 Months of Start Date.

  • Solid understanding of Cyber security and Information Assurance principles.

  • Strong working knowledge of the Windows operating system environment, security compliance measures in a DoD environment (STIG’s, IAVA’s, VMS, etc)

  • An in depth understanding of supporting technologies: IIS, DHCP/DNS, Anti-Virus, Systems Management, High Availability configurations (Microsoft Clustering, etc)

  • A thorough understanding of enterprise datacenter technologies including Networking, Security, TCP/IP, NetApp storage, VMware, and physical datacenter security practices

  • Experience supporting Microsoft SQL environments.

  • Preference given to the following skills:

  • VMWare virtualization experience

  • NetApp storage administration

  • Firewall configuration experience
