Job Description:

CSRA is currently looking for an Elevated Sensors - Multi-Functional FSR in Iraq. Must have a current and active Secret clearance. CSRA provides a $12K bonus upon a successful one-year deployment.

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Specialized Electronic Technician for Iraq. The role will be as an Elevated Sensors Multi-Functional Field Service Representative (FSR) to serve as a technical expert throughout the area of operation (AOR). Individual will work at the front end of the delivery of our operation providing units within theater state-of-the-art Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and FP (Force Protection). This position requires individuals who are self-motivated, suitably experienced, qualified, and able to follow instructions clearly but also able to make command decisions on the spot in order to achieve the aims of the organization. Majority of time is performing “hands on” testing and repair. Some duties include Site Surveys training operators, PMCS, removal and replacement of parts, cables, connectors, and equipment. Specific systems can include BETSS-C, Cerberus, RDISS, Radar, microwave, radio, television and other communications /surveillance equipment and systems.

Role Responsibility

Responsible for 80 and 107-foot towers, FLIR infrared cameras, Laser Range Finder, Radar System, Network Switches, Map Overlays and Windows, fiber connections and Tower

Perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on each system and its components, IAW with the operation manual, technical manual and training materials

Check quality of system equipment at existing sites and prior to operation; perform site surveys before install of new equipment

Conduct preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on each system. This includes all electronics, generators, power paths (AC/DC), video paths, data paths, hydraulic, and mechanical functions

Perform PMI's at locations to verify accountability of BETSS-C assets

Configure IT equipment, IP addresses, and Radios at each location

Resolve customer issues in the area of hardware, upgrade and maintenance

Provide small group training to soldiers during Relief-In-Place/Take Over-of-Authority (RIP/TOA)

Perform troubleshooting, Fault Isolation, PMCS, and articulate the precise problem in order to return to service the assigned systems and subsystems

Perform maintenance actions in RF electronics lab, including testing of radio equipment with RF/analog test equipment, troubleshooting low performance specifications utilizing schematics and layouts

Perform replacement and repair for all components associated with systems

Perform the calibration, operation, maintenance, modification, testing, troubleshooting and repair of systems of a highly complex nature

Execute set-up, collaboration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies

Provide Technical representation at meetings and consultations with clients or their representatives

Advise the unit commander on the feasibility, functionality and capabilities of the Sensor Systems assigned to the AOR

Work in conjunction with the unit commander on the ground to ensure all the unit's requirements for the Sensor Systems are met

Individual will be the on-site point liaison for the customer

Maintain strong attention to detail

Maintain a positive attitude and work as a member of a cohesive team as well as independently

Interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful way

Multi-task efficiently and work in a fast pace environment on multiple projects

Provide controls and records as to the progress of work and maintenance of assets within the AOR

Contacts and coordinates with internal departments for parts

Performs all other duties assigned

May be required to go TDY to multiple locations within SWA

The Ideal Candidate must have:

  • Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance

  • Valid driver's license and current passport

  • BS plus 0 years experience or 4 years Military/Technical Experience

  • Experience in electronics troubleshooting and component level repair

  • IT Networking experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to successfully complete CRC

NOTE: If selected, candidate MUST pass the Pre-Test Examination at the BETSS-C school. If not, the employment will end.

The Ideal Candidate will have :

  • Previous experience operating or using BETSS-C Surveillance and Protection Systems, (e.g. RAID, Cerberus, TASS Annunciators, Unattended Ground Sensors, Thermal Imagery, Ground Surveillance Radar, Closed Circuit Television, Command and Control Systems)

  • Comp TIA Security+ or Comp TIA Network+ certification.

  • Minimum of three years Electronics/Communications technical experience.

  • Knowledge of electronic test equipment used for troubleshooting, diagnostics and preventative maintenance; communications analyzers (service monitors) spectrum analyzers, and volt meters.

  • Experience in stock control and asset management.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience in a forward-facing customer support role.

  • Excellent customer presence as well as verbal and written communication skills, writing system documentation documents, and communications involving system installation and operation

  • Experience working in hostile and austere environments

  • Experience in Customer support
