Job Description:

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS or equivalent + 14 yrs related experience, or MS + 12 yrs related experience

Senior Systems Engineer with experience in complex enterprise level applications and knowledge of how application components interrelate and work together, including internal and external interfaces, etc. as it relates to supporting a enterprise wide Microsoft LYNC 2013 implementation in a high availability and distributed environment (two data centers).

Basic requirements

• At least 3 years hands on system administrator experience with the latest Microsoft Operating systems,

• At least 2 years hands on experience with Deploying, Operating and maintaining a large scale Lync / Skype system (50+ front end servers). Specifically:

o -Deploying Lync using Topology builder

o -Understanding and running Primary / Secondary Pools

o -Understanding deploying and running Back End SQL databases with DBA support for mirroring or clustering

o -Understanding and running Windows Fabric (version 1 to 3)

o -Experience with User Migration and Pool Failover

o -Some experience with Enterprise Voice, Persistent Chat and Large Meeting support Maintaining Topology

o -Understanding Presence and Exchange Integration

o -Understanding Virtual Environments to include snapshots and V-Motion

o -Understanding KHIs and Lync system performance tools.

o -Understanding federation and hybrid deployments with Office 365.

o -Understanding system upgrades: OCS – Lync – Lync 2013 – Skype 2015.

o Ability to work independently and within a team

o Experience implementing unified communications such as Microsoft Lync and OCS

o Good Microsoft Windows administrations skills

o Microsoft Active Directory Knowledge/Experience a plus

o Reasonable understanding of CISCO networking protocols

o Experience with virtualization - particularly VMware - a plus
