Job Description:

CSRA currently supports Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) by leveraging leading-edge IT solutions to improve customer's mission effectiveness while continuously seeking opportunities to increase efficiency. Under the Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) contract, our 110+ member team delivers the full breadth of IT services, including infrastructure engineering and operations, software development and maintenance, cyber security, enterprise architecture support, and document processing.

We are currently looking for a Cyber Security Manager to oversee and manager a team of Cyber Security professions as well as interface with the client on a day to day basis. This role will be located onsite at FERC in Washington, DC and is a key position on the program

Responsibilities:

The Cyber Security Manager oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders.

The Cyber Security Manager develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must Have:

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related Science degree

  • Minimum of 5 years managing a team of cyber security professional.

  • 7+ years experience in computer science or software engineering.

  • 7+ years experience in information security fundamental/principles

  • Expert knowledge with NIST and FISMA security control requirements

  • Experience standing up and improving a SOC

  • Experience/background in a client facing role

Nice to Have:

  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional
