Job Description:

GDIT which supports the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is seeking to add an experienced Knowledge Manager to our team located in Washington, DC.

  • The Knowledge Manager will be responsible for maintaining our library of SOP, WI and Knowledge Base articles.

  • This position is responsible for overseeing the development and usage of SOPs, KB article and Help Files published by the IT Support Center.

JOB SUMMARY

Participates in and supports process improvement initiatives. Assesses programs/projects to identify process concerns through process audits and observations. Provides operational assistance to address and resolve actions necessary for process compliance. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Implement Knowledge Management Principles and Practices

  • Updating documents related to ITSC processes

  • Encouraging the use of knowledge management practices

  • Interact with staff, clients, management to answer queries about knowledge management products and practices

  • Quality Control Review of Incident Tickets

  • Create and generate reports

  • Support ITSC Service Desk

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Monitor and maintain an effective change control process to ensure all content is relevant and compliant to policy, procedures and standards.

  • Review Reference Guides and process documents as new materials are developed.

  • Design and deploys tools, workflows, job aides to support new or existing practices and procedures to ensure consistency in appearance and content.

  • Identifies appropriate delivery methodologies based on audience learning styles, nature of content to be delivered within the context of business needs and constraints.

  • Explores new methods for delivering content in relevant ways to include text, video, and other emerging options such as gamification

  • Seeks feedback to ensure materials are developed as required and to identify improvement opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Knowledge Management skills and behaviors normally acquired through a related bachelor's degree (or equivalent) experience and 5 or more years related work experience.

  • Experience with the Verint Knowledge Management system a plus.

  • Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills.

  • Effective communication skills for delivering content feedback, writing reports/proposals and making presentations.

  • Ability to work independently and lead others during projects.

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and database software.
