Job Description:

The Senior Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager will provide support for the day to day activities of the Program Executive Office Support Ships, Boats and Craft Program Office, PMS 325. The Senior Acquisition ILS Manager will perform multiple tasks related to oversight of all acquisition logistics and sustainment activities throughout the acquisition life cycle of each program.The Manager will provide integrated logistics support subject matter expertise across the full spectrum of logistics support elements and be responsible for leading a team of ILS support analysts and logistics engineers supporting multiple programs. The successful candidate will also serve as a senior logistics advisor to government and industry personnel providing a blend of operational, program management and acquisition expertise. Responsible for providing acquisition logistics management support services to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of acquisition services in support of the customer’s mission. Must have familiarity working with Navy Acquisition Category (ACAT) Programs, Navy DoD Program Offices and possess working knowledge of DoD and DoN logistics guidance, policies and procedures. The ideal applicant is versatile, with a broad background in logistics and program/project management and demonstrated ability to produce quality work.

Additionally the successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills and strong verbal and interpersonal skills as regular interaction with government customers, and external government customers will be required

  • Experience leading a team of contract support logisticians, analysts and engineers for multiple ACAT programs and Program Offices

  • Experience supporting DoD ACAT Ship acquisition programs with acquisition and life cycle logistics management experience

  • Ability to grasp information quickly and multitask effectively across multiple programs

  • Critical thinking, analytical and project management skills

  • Ability to conduct thorough research and analysis to proactively address client needs

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) knowledge and skills

  • Familiarity with MSC, Navy and DoD logistics guidance, policy, directives and instructions

  • Possess current active Secret Security Clearance
