Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Process Analyst in Washington, DC to support the Human Resources Management office of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the nation’s largest law enforcement agency. The selected candidate must currently hold or be able to obtain a CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance, per contract requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Government program/project manager as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams for the purpose of developing business and technical processes

  • Assist the Government with the collection, evaluation and compression data and information from multiple sources, resolve conflicts and differentiate between actual and required user needs

  • Assist the Government by partnering with key business leaders/customers to identify and evaluate key drivers to accelerate organization performance with minimal guidance from more experienced analyst or department leadership.

  • Provide a primary focus to lead process improvement initiatives through the use of disciplined, multitier process improvement methods.

  • Act as a process improvement practitioner to the Government by leading efforts to enhance processes, reduce waste and increase effectiveness.

  • Act as a change agent for the Government to instill a process/performance improvement culture.

  • Aid the Government in the creation process and procedure documentation with acceptable levels of detail to benefit the business.

  • Deliver results after thorough research of functional needs by collaborating and communication between various users

  • Use strong analytical reasoning to understand end user's requirements and transforming them into operational application

  • Assist the Government program or project manager in establishing project priorities.

  • Serve as the Government program or project manager’s technical advisor on the adequacy of the program’s execution of contractual requirements related to process improvements

  • Evaluate and monitor results to make data driven decisions and make recommendations to leadership.

  • Present data findings and recommendations to Leadership and Enable senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science/Technology, Social Sciences, Human Resources, or Management with 10-12 years of related experience.

  • Experience equivalent to a PMI PMP or Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Level II or III Program Manager Certification (Actual PMP or DAU certification HIGHLY desired).

  • Government or large-scale acquisition program office experience is a plus.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent Lean certification preferred.

Skills:

  • Detail-oriented self-starter experienced in supporting senior Government leaders and other technical/business professionals (e.g. GAO, OMB).

  • Superior customer interface with senior levels of management, demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, the ability to plan and organize work, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint are required.

Clearance Requirements:

  • A current (or ability to acquire) Customs and Border Protection Background Investigation is required.

  • If a current CBP BI is not possessed, a current Top Secret clearance is desired.
